The Pagoda of Chanteloup

At the heart of a large park, the pagoda of Chanteloup, a stunning Chinese-inspired tower rises to 44 metres. Climb to the top to enjoy a magnificent view over the Loire Valley!

A pagoda on the banks of the Loire

La Pagode de Chanteloup is a 17th-century folly built by the Duke of Choiseul. Its 44-metre tall silhouette is reflected in the half-moon lake at its feet. A boat trip is a great way to admire the pagoda from close-to. But to enjoy the view it offers, you must  climb the 149 steps that lead to the top, where you will enjoy a splendid view over the Loire valley and the surrounding park.

There is also a little Chinese Fu Hsi garden. Its benches and oriental plants are an invitation to relaxation and meditation.

Rural relaxation

In the summer, let yourself be tempted by the "Petits Paniers de Chanteloup". Put together using fine local products, these baskets will be the perfect accompaniment to your picnic in the wooded paths of the large park.

And take part as a family at one of the 40 old wooden games made available. The seesaws, jeu de la grenouille (rather like 'toad in a hole') and bowling will provide plenty of fun for young and old!
